Elderflower Syrup

simply prepared

Ingredients:

  • 15 - 20 elderflowers
  • 1 kg syrup sugar
  • 1 l water
  • 1 organic lemon
  • 10 g citric acid

And so it succeeds:

  • shake out the Elderflowers and cut off the strong peduncles
  • boil up the water and liquidate the syrup sugar
  • add lemon slices and citric acid
  • pour the liquid over the Elderflowers and put it in a cool place for about 2 days
  • filter the liquid and reboil it
  • fill the liquid in clean, closable bottles and store them in a cool, dark and dry place.
